We’re talking about the usefulness of canva today. As a small business owner, you are well-aware that social media provides a valuable outlet for promotion of your business. In addition, a solid social media presence enables you to engage current customers. Also, you can gain insight from clients in a myriad of ways.
Did you know? One of the most significant steps you can take, to strengthen your social media efforts, is to utilize engaging and dynamic content. Social media posts that include a visual element – photos, graphics, videos – gain more clicks and achieve a greater response.
Enter Canva.
Canva is an app that features easy-to-use design tools that enable you, or a member of your team, to design everything from business cards and flyers to animated graphics for Facebook and lovely photo images for Instagram.
Though it can be useful for print media, it’s the latter, Canva’s social media design capabilities, where it really shines.
You can create graphics using professionally pre-designed templates, a wide selection of graphic elements, and an extensive stock photography collection. You even have the ability to import your own graphics, such as your company logo, your own photos, etc., to use in the creation process.
Using Canva
Start by choosing what type of content you wish to create. You can choose from Facebook post, Instagram post, Pinterest pin, animated social media post, Facebook cover, and many more. Your choice will predetermine the size and resolution of your image, so that it works best for the purpose you have selected.
Then, choose from hundreds of available templates, which you can then edit and change, with simple drag-and-drop functionality. Modify the image, choose a different photo, change the font and the text size – anything you want.
Conclusion
Canva really is a tool that enables every small business to create content that looks professionally designed and, just as importantly, it is simple to use. With a short learning curve, once you have an understanding of the tools and are comfortable with using them, you can churn out designs quickly, saving you valuable time to focus on other areas of your business and marketing.
